Little Gaddesden Drama Club has learnt with great sadness of the death, on 5 February 2020, of our President Patsy Blackmore. Patsy has been a great friend to the Drama Club over many decades, and we will all miss her.  We send our sympathy and best wishes to Patsy’s family.

Please feel free to leave a tribute or appreciation in the comment box below.

Patsy was an inspiration, and will certainly be missed. She was very at home on and around the stage – particularly in the director’s chair! – and her enthusiasm was infectious. She gave her time and shared her expertise generously, and the Drama Club was fortunate indeed that she chose to do so with us.

Since I first met Patsy, in the mid 1980s, she has always been great fun, mischievous, with enormous energy put into LGDC. Patsy always showed great patience in working with children, and adults too ! I loved her sense of humour…..wicked at times…..but always compassionate. Her contribution to LGDC over many decades, will always be remembered. There are thousands of people who Patsy has entertained, and made laugh. She introduced amateur dramatics to myself, my wife, and our two children in LG, and we will always be grateful, and remember Patsy with great affection.
